UCarelogo15The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) announced its intent not to contract with UCare for the Prepaid Medical Assistance Program (PMAP) or MinnesotaCare beginning Jan. 1, 2016. Coverage and benefits of those currently enrolled in UCare will continue until Dec. 31, 2015.

If you currently are enrolled in UCare, review your re-enrollment packet. If you do not select a new health plan, you automatically will be assigned to a new health plan.

To ensure that you can continue to receive care with your established/current providers, clinics, and hospitals, please contact your current provider/clinic/hospital and ask which Medical Assistance plans they will accept in 2016. UCare re-enrollment packets were mailed in October 2015. If you did not receive a re-enrollment packet, please contact your case worker, the Minnesota Health Care Programs Member Help Desk, or a MNSure Navigator organization.
