AuSM Social Skills
Building real-life skills
in real-life environments
For Youth and Adults with Autism (ages 8-26)
Led by autism experts, AuSM social skills classes foster confidence and self-esteem while participants learn how to make friends, interact with a group, practice socializing, and have fun – all while educators encourage participants to be themselves. Classes offer low-stress, accepting environments that promote learning and growth while celebrating neurodiversity.
AuSM social skills classes take participants to exciting community venues where they participate in curriculum tailored to provide exclusive opportunities.
The 2017-2018 AuSM Education catalog will be available in August 2017.
Registration for AuSM's 2017 Summer Social Skills programming is open. Click here for more information.
AuSM’s education team continues to creatively engage community organizations to develop programming for youth and adults with autism. Sign up for the AuSM Connections e-newsletter so you’re the first to know when new classes are added to the schedule.
AuSM Social Skills Transportation Policy
For the safety of our AuSM Social Skills class participants, AuSM Social Skills students under age 18 will be released only to the parents/caregivers on the registration form. If someone other than those listed on the registration form will be providing transportation to a student under age 18, parents/caregivers must provide written documentation giving their permission. If a transportation provider arrives who does not have permission to provide transportation, the participant’s emergency contact will be contacted immediately. Transportation providers other than the parents/guardians of the participant are required to provide photo identification.
AuSM Class Cancellation Policy
Notification of cancellation: If a class is cancelled or postponed, AuSM will attempt to notify you via phone, using the phone number provided with your registration. We also will post notice of cancellations and postponements on www.ausm.org.
Cancellation by program organizer: AuSM reserves the right to cancel a class due to low registrations or other circumstances that make the class non-viable.
