Workshop Description

Dr. Travis Thompson, Ph.D., defines meltdowns as emotional or behavioral outbursts triggered by something in the environment.  He will share specific ways to help children overcome everyday challenges and develop critical skills.  This workshop is for parents of children with autism or related developmental disorders from toddler to middle-school age.

Presenter

Dr. Thompson is supervising psychologist for the Minnesota Early Autism Project and a professor of pediatrics at the University of Minnesota.  He is a grandparent of a child with autism.  His new book, "Straight Talk on Autism," will be available for sale and signing by the author.
