AuSM keeps all your dollars local. Proceeds from Steps of Hope directly serve families in your neighborhood by supporting AuSM's programs which provide information and support to individuals, families and professionals that care for people living with autism. AuSM hosts an annual 3-day conference for parents, educators and service providers, offers educational programs including the Discovery Series for parents of children recently diagnosed with autism, and weekly workshops and support groups. Through our Steps of Hope Support Grant program, we give funding to local families, schools and service providers to support crucial programs and materials needed for individuals living with autism in our community.

It is easy to be a part of Steps of Hope! Pull together a team of family, friends, neighbors and co-workers and join us as we weave our way through Ridgedale Center's upper level. Find sponsors to contribute for your efforts or donate yourself — and come out to support this great cause. The Autism Society of Minnesota is a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible.

Visit the sponsor tables placed throughout Ridgedale Center and collect information about programs, products and services designed to support individuals with autism. At the tables, our sponsors are happy to chat with you and offer information about their products and services.

Showcase your talent during the “Salute to Autism” at the 2010 Steps of Hope. A “Salute to Autism” will showcase the many talents of high school students and young adults with ASD. Teens and young adults are invited to sing, play a musical instrument, read an original poem or any other performance they would like to share. Performances will be located at the Center Court Stage in Ridgedale Center. A “Salute to Autism” will begin at approximately 8:30 a.m. and conclude as the walk begins at 10:00 AM. Participation in a “Salute to Autism” will be on a first-come basis. Participation is limited. Applications will be accepted until February 15, or until all performance times are filled.
