Executive Function – Daily Life Skills for Independence
Workshop Overview: Executive function difficulties are common in children, teens and young adults with ADD/ADHD, Anxiety or Autism. What is Executive Function? It is the daily living skills most people take for granted. Learn how to determine a child’s strengths and challenges in planning, self-organization, restraint, emotional regulation and preparedness. The Resource Center Program and its generous funders and donors are making this workshop available in Willmar.
“Make & Take” Strategy Session: (Small Group Session) After lunch, participants will break into small groups and work on personal strategies for their family member. In addition, there will be time for question and answer with the staff from the Autism Society and The Resource Center Program.
Target Audience: Parents, family members, grandparents, self-advocates, professionals, educators, caregivers and the community
