AuSM joins Community Health Charities

CHClogo2015AuSM is pleased to announce its membership in Community Health Charities (CHC), an organization that unites the nation’s most trusted charities through workplace giving. Beginning Jan. 1, 2016, employees who want to designate their pre-tax, workplace giving dollars to support the Minnesota autism community may choose AuSM as a recipient.

“Being selected as a CHC member is a testament to and a validation of the important work we do at AuSM,” Jonah Weinberg, AuSM Executive Director said. “Our mission of serving Minnesota’s growing autism population, from birth through retirement, continues because of the support of this generous community.”

“Being selected as a CHC member is a testament to and a validation of the important work we do at AuSM,” Jonah Weinberg, AuSM Executive Director said. “Our mission of serving Minnesota’s growing autism population, from birth through retirement, continues because of the support of this generous community.”

In 2015 alone, AuSM served more than 500 youth with autism through summer camps and social skills classes; facilitated dozens of educational opportunities for parents, individuals, and professionals throughout Minnesota; trained more than 300 emergency responders; fielded thousands of Information and Resources inquiries; and served clients with more than 2,500 mental health services appointments.

“We are honored to be a CHC member,” said Weinberg. “And, we know that this new relationship will allow more individuals with autism access to the resources they need to thrive.”

Since 1957, CHC has been the leader in uniting donors in the workplace with trusted health charities. Member health charities are reviewed annually and must meet the highest standards. With nearly 2,000 health charities in its network, CHC is positioned to address the complete physical, mental, and social well being of employees and their family members. CHC connects more than 1,200 businesses and 15 million employees to reputable, leading-edge charities. Click here to learn more about CHC’s employee giving program.
