Registration open for Minnesota Special Hockey
Minnesota Special Hockey is an adapted ice hockey program for players of all ages with developmental disabilities. This organization exists to enrich the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities through increasing their personal development and self-confidence on and off the ice by: having fun, learning team work, gaining friendships, and increasing physical activity.
The program for boys and girls of all ages supports more than 180 hockey players on 10 teams across Minnesota (Alexandria, Blaine, Burnsville, Duluth, Edina, Moorhead, New Hope, Plymouth, Rogers, Woodbury). No previous hockey experience required, and Minnesota Special Hockey offers scholarships and can help find donated gear. The season begins Nov. 6 and all practices and games are on Sundays (during the day) through the end of February. Click here for more information and to register.
