Sensory-Friendly Hour at Battle Creek Waterworks

Ramsey County is partnering with AuSM for sensory-friendly time at Battle Creek Waterworks. The sensory-friendly hour will include earplugs and a quiet place with fidget spinners and other toys. Bell Museum Sensory-Friendly Saturdays

This monthly series, held on select Saturdays from 8-10 a.m., provides a welcoming and accessible environment for individuals, families, and children who have sensory sensitivities. Experience our Minnesota Journeys gallery, temporary exhibits, Touch & See Lab, and a planetarium show—with lowered lighting, quieter sounds, and fewer visitors. Visitors are welcome to check out additional resources like the quiet spaces, visual timers, weighted lap pads, and hearing protection if it helps makes the visit more enjoyable, and a social story is available for download to prepare for your visit. Adaptive Climbing Nights by Midwest Climbing Academy

Academy Adaptive Climbing aims to create an inclusive climbing community for athletes with physical or cognitive disabilities in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas. Our programs offer a space that is supportive and consistent to help participants achieve their personal climbing goals regardless of disability. We value accessibility of climbing, community and challenging perspectives of what is possible for someone with a disability. Monthly climbing nights begin on June 17, 2018. If you’re looking for a casual, fun and supportive environment to climb, these nights are for you! Cost: $20 per climber. Click here for more information and to register.

Join us for an inclusive experience at Como Park Zoo & Conservatory. Spend time exploring exhibits, stations, and activities designed for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.
