Autism Spectrum and Neurodevelopmental Disorders Clinic
The Autism Spectrum and Neurodevelopmental Disorders (ASD) Clinic is a multidisciplinary clinic that brings together a campus and community-wide collaboration of clinicians, researchers and families to foster excellence in clinical care for children and families with ASD. It is staffed by specialists in developmental/behavioral pediatrics, psychology and neuropsychology.
The broad objectives of the program include (1) Providing a state-of-the-art multidisciplinary center for the evaluation and diagnosis of ASD (2) Working closely with families and community outreach, and (3) Fostering clinical training and research efforts.
The Autism Spectrum and Neurodevelopmental Disorders Clinic provides:
- Diagnostic evaluations
- Neuropsychological assessments
- Developmental monitoring for infants and toddlers at-risk for an ASD
- Developmental behavioral pediatrics evaluation
- Genetic, laboratory and neuroimaging evaluations as needed
- Medication management
- Social skills groups
- Fragile X Clinic
Our multidisciplinary approach includes psychological assessment (including testing of cognitive skills, language, adaptive skills, and behavior) and medical services (including consultation and medication evaluation). Our team will offer referrals for other services including, but not limited to, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, behavioral therapy, psychiatry, internal medicine and genetic counseling.
The Fragile X Clinic provides individuals and families affected by one or more of the Fragile X-associated disorders with evaluation and care supported by the latest medical, educational, and research knowledge available.
