Families and individuals affected by autism are invited to participate in the Science Museum of Minnesota's Sensory Friendly Sunday. The event will include accommodations such as lower video volume in the Race exhibit, lights up and lower volume in the Omnitheater, an additional quiet space on level 2 and an early open so that there aren't as many visitors in the building. The reduction in sensory stimuli will hopefully enable many visitors on the autism spectrum to have a more enjoyable visit to the Science Museum. AuSM will be on site to support visitors and offer resources. Cost: Regular entrance and Omnitheater fees apply. Click here for more information about accommodations, accessibility, and social narratives and guides.
